In Wild & Loose, we’ll loosen up, quiet the inner critic, and learn how to work with watercolor instead of fighting it. This playful, low-pressure workshop is all about wet techniques, happy accidents, and embracing the beautiful unpredictability of the medium.
We’ll explore expressive methods like wet-on-wet painting, granulation, salt, alcohol effects, and unconventional tools—yes, including straws and household items—to create texture, movement, and atmosphere. You’ll learn when to step in, when to step back, and how to let watercolor do what it does best.
This workshop is perfect for:
Beginners who feel “too tight” or overworked in their paintings
Intermediate painters stuck in perfectionism
Anyone who wants to rediscover joy, curiosity, and freedom in watercolor
No drawing skills required—just a willingness to play. You’ll leave with multiple experimental pieces, a toolbox of new techniques, and a refreshed relationship with watercolor.
