Day 3-50 Challenge- a 50 day consistency challenge for growth

I am writing this on day what should be day four of my personal challenge. Let’s face it, life happens. My family and I had a travel day yesterday from Punta Cana to Atlanta. The day before travel, the weather in Atlanta was horrible. Hail, power outages, high winds, rain etc. One of the towers at the airport went out in the storm causing delays. The next day, our flight was delayed twice, so we left about an hour and a half late. With the delays, we also got stuck waiting on the tarmac in Punta Cana and again in Atlanta. Once we got to the airport we walked and walked, went through customs, got our bags, took a a shuttle to domestic and finally reached Marta just in time to wait 20 minutes for one of the last trains of the night.

Happy to be on our way to North Springs and our car and home, we were soon privy to the fact that there is construction on Marta. It makes sense to do work during low volumes times but UGGGGG! With one track running, we were forced to stop and wait for other trains to pass.

We got home around 1:30 in the morning and we’re exhausted. The trip was worth it! Travel teaches us to be flexible. Sometimes, our intentions and our reality don’t match up in the moment. That doesn’t mean we don’t just keep moving forward.

Completing my day 3 took two days. I’m okay with that. I walked at the resort, stretched and then did laps at the airport. I wrote using creative writing prompts and played a story game with my husband using the prompts.

Today, I used Procreate to digitally paint a tree that I loved at the resort. Check out the time lapse video to see how I did it.
